Porsche 911 1980 View
Manufactured by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany, the Porsche 911 is a sports car that made its debut in 1964. It was preceded by Porsche 356 and was succeeded by Porsche 964. Since its inception in 1964, it has undergone evolution, but the engine has remained the same on all 911s as a six-cylinder boxer engine. Exclusively produced in 1980, only 400 units were manufactured of the Porsche 911 SC Weissach. The car comes to life with the help of a 6 cylinder F engine that is air cooled. The engine is located in the rear, and the car is a rear wheel drive. It is able to churn 172.0 BHP at 5500 rpm, and a torque of 175 ft-lbs at 4200 rpm. It is equipped with a standard manual transmission with 5 gears. The car has independent front suspensions with MacPherson struts, torsion bar, anti-roll bar, and the rear suspensions are independent, and endowed with semi-trailing arms, transverse torsion bar, and anti-roll bar. The car accelerates to a top speed of 150 mph, and goes from 0 to 60 miles in 7 seconds. The car runs on gasoline, and the fuel is fed through a Bosch K-Tronics CIS fuel injection. The car has a compression ratio of 9.3 to 1. The 1980, 911 âs were available in either Pongee Beige Metallic or a metallic charcoal gray color. The interiors were embellished with red/burgundy carpet and beige leather seats. The rear of the car received a RS wing or a whaletail while the front got a new spoiler. All the Weissachâs were 2 door coupes with aspirated engines.
